Review of The Brightest Stars by Kristy Brown

When Julia, an enthusiastic and talented gymnast with an obsession for the 80s, meets Roman, the notorious ‘bad’ boy, her life will be altered drastically.
Julia already has the perfect boyfriend in Kyle Paris. So, when she meets up with her life-long crush behind his back, there’s more at stake than she could ever realise.
Secrets are spilled. Hard lessons are learned. Julia must find the courage to compete and gain a place at the Olympics. As one guy lays in a coma, and the other is missing. Julia must decide who to trust and who to love in this modern-day Romeo & Juliet retelling.

My Review: 5 STARS

I picked this up because the blurb sounded interesting and I was hooked from the first page. I loved Julia, and Roman, loved the little snippets of their lives woven through the narrative and loved the way they both clicked and came together. Julia knew her own mind, even with the pressures from outside forces. It was just sweet and lovely, and a nice romance to lose yourself in for a time. Overall, an excellent romance, and one that I would recommend!
